Our Supportive Services
Client Assistance
Exceptional Hearts provides essential services to our clients, including food, fans, heaters, blankets, coats, and toiletries. We strive to meet the basic needs of those we serve.
Personal Care Items
We offer toiletry bags with essentials to uphold the dignity of those in need. The bags include oral care items, hygiene basics, and some pop-top nonperishable items.
Warmth & Comfort
During the cold months, we provide hot meals and blankets to our unhoused neighbors. Heaters are provided to our elderly clients who are without heat.
Compassion
At Exceptional Hearts, we believe in upholding the dignity of every individual we serve. Our services are delivered with compassion and respect for the inherent worth of each person.
Organizational History
Exceptional Hearts was birthed out of the founder's quest to find accessible resources for those facing destitution in the Metro Atlanta area. Though there existed community initiatives that helped with some basic human needs, few addressed the complication of accessibility. Meaning, that places offering resources were visible, but not always reachable. Those who suffered the most were the elderly and homeless populations. To remove the barrier of accessibility, Exceptional Hearts was formed in 2023. Our goal is to TAKE resources, supplies, and aid to the elderly and those facing homelessness.
Impact Statement
The impact of inflation has disturbed and disrupted the lives of many populations. As of 2020, those facing food insecurity have risen by the millions worldwide. In addition, a large number of individuals lack the proper transportation needed to get to grocery stores. Furthermore, according to research conducted in 2021, about 2 million Georgians, including around 500,000 children reside in food deserts (living about 1-10 miles from the nearest grocery store). With these issues at hand, many will continue to go without basic human needs if measures are not put in place to address these matters.
Our Team.
Exceptional Hearts, Inc. is supported by a knowledgeable and diverse group of strong and caring women. Our Executive Director has a background in education and developmental psychology; she holds a minor in criminal justice. Our CEO is a realtor and business owner; CFO is a Cyber Security Analyst; Secretary is a Registered Behavior Technician; Marketing Coordinator is a Cloud Account Manager.
